Prepare the timer first
The player above offers 15, 30, 60 or 120 minutes and Off. On the main mixer, the Timer dialog also offers a custom duration from 1 to 720 minutes. A selected timer is armed while the player is silent. Loading a file does not use up the timer; the countdown starts when the first sound voice starts.
The initial 15-minute setting is a product convenience, not a medically recommended session length. Off means no automatic end, so use it only as an explicit choice.
Pause, cancellation and timer expiry
- Pause stops audio and keeps the sound selection. A running timer still uses its original deadline; it does not gain extra time while paused.
- Pause also cancels a pending playback start. Choose Off in the timer to cancel its automatic end, or choose another duration to prepare a new session.
- Changing a duration during playback sets a new deadline from that moment.
- At expiry the last seconds fade out. There is no bell or spoken message, and no automatic restart.
Background tabs and interruptions
The fade is scheduled against the audio clock as well as checked against the device-time deadline. If the browser interrupts sound or suspends the page, returning to an expired session must not restart it.
This is not an alarm or a child-monitoring device. A phone’s power-saving mode, screen lock or audio interruption can change browser behavior. Do not rely on this page to notify you about a child or guarantee overnight playback.
