What is in this rain sound
This is generated, filtered noise shaped to suggest steady rain. It is explicitly synthetic: it is not a storm, roof, forest or field recording. There are no thunder events, voices or music in the generator.
Its 20-second loop changes gently rather than introducing individual large raindrop sounds. If you want natural water details instead, try the ocean or stream recording.
Use rain by itself first
Gentle Rain prepares only this sound. A single texture is easier to evaluate than a layered mix. Check the device volume, choose a duration and press Play.
The timer fades the sound over its final seconds without a bell. Pause can cancel the session while the file loads as well as after it starts.
What the name does not tell you
Rain describes the texture, not a tested effect on infant sleep. The browser cannot measure the sound pressure at a baby’s head, and a low on-screen percentage is not a certificate of safety.
If the sample is too bright or distracting, stop rather than adding more sounds to cover it. Compare the noise colors or choose quiet time instead.
