How this shushing is made
Filtered noise rises and falls with a rounded envelope about every two and a half seconds. The 20-second loop contains eight repetitions. It suggests “shhh” without recording an adult’s breath or voice.
It is fixed sound, not a responsive caregiver. It cannot listen, detect crying, adapt to a baby or tell you whether a child needs attention.
Preview the repetition
Some listeners prefer a continuous texture over a repeating one. An adult can compare this sample with white noise before choosing a background. If the repetition attracts attention or feels unwelcome, stop it.
The volume and timer work like the other sounds. Start with Play, end with Pause or the timer, and keep the device away from the sleep space.
Comfort needs human attention
A sound file cannot check feeding, discomfort, temperature or illness. It is not a treatment for colic and does not replace ordinary care.
This shushing sample has no speech content, but it should still remain low and brief if used. Read the sound safety guide and seek individual advice for hearing or persistent sleep concerns.
