Sound, not an appliance
This sample combines filtered generated noise with a quiet, steady tone. It is a 20-second loop designed to suggest a fan. It is not a recording of a particular fan model.
Playing it does not ventilate a room, change temperature or provide any benefit attributed to a real appliance. Place a phone or speaker outside the sleep space; there is no need to place it where a real fan would go.
Keep the hum in the background
Soft Fan prepares this sample on its own. On a small speaker the hum may sound thinner; avoid increasing volume just to recover low frequencies.
Use the visible Volume and Sleep timer controls, then press Play. Pause keeps the selection and a running timer’s deadline; choose Off in the timer to cancel its automatic end.
Switching from fan to noise
The main mixer can replace fan with white, pink or brown noise through a prepared mix, or combine fan with a noise layer. A combination is optional and is still limited to three layers.
Changing a prepared mix keeps the main volume unchanged. Hear one texture first, because two similar continuous layers may add level without adding much useful variety.
